Hi, I'm Helen Wang.
I am a Sydney-based Graphic and Motion Designer dedicated to transforming complex information into engaging visual narratives. My work supports public understanding across news, politics, finance, and culture.
I received my BA (honours) in Design with a focus on graphic design and digital media from UNSW. Since then, I have developed my design perspective at some of Sydney's most respected agencies, including a designer role at The Thoughtful Agency and an internship at Hulsbosch. My toolkit is diverse, spanning image compositing, photo retouching, and digital marketing.
Currently I work at Nine Entertainment, as a On-Air Senior Motion Graphic Designer, delivering graphics and explainers for live, breaking, and long-form news coverage. I collaborate closely with journalists, producers, editors, and reporters to ensure visuals are accurate, editorially responsible, and suitable for broadcast — often under tight and immovable deadlines.
My work has contributed to Walkley and Kennedy Award-winning news packages, and I have received internal recognition for design excellence and reliability within high-pressure broadcast environments.
I believe strong design is grounded in clarity, integrity, and collaboration. I am always eager to learn and expand my knowledge, I would love to help transfer my skills and knowledge to help your business.
