The Epstein Files.
This explainer was created to support coverage of the U.S. Department of Justice's release of a large archive of documents related to the Epstein investigation. The challenge was to visually organise a complex and sensitive body of material while maintaining clarity, restraint, and editorial responsibility.
The design approach focused on structuring disparate content — documents, images, and video — into a cohesive visual system that guided viewers through the information without sensationalism. A limited colour palette, clear typographic hierarchy, and consistent framing were used to support comprehension and maintain an investigative tone appropriate to the subject matter.
Operating in broadcast television means tight, unmovable deadlines, I completed the full design, integration, and approval process in just three hours. This project aired the same day on 9News, reaching an audience of 1.39 million viewers, and later accumulated an additional 13,000 views on the 9News YouTube channel.
